First of all, reels make great recycling products! Let me tell you why:
If you have or know anyone that has wire reels or even stainless steel ones laying around they are most likely made out of 3100 grade alloy which makes them 61% iron, 38.5% chromium and 0.75% content of carbon.
When these types of products are recycled the components separate very easily because of the different chemical compositions. Because of this it goes through a process called ‘galvanizing’, which essentially makes new steel out of the stainless steel and ferrous materials (iron and chromium). The wire, due to its thinness can be sold as commodity wire for things like fencing, scaffolding and even clotheslines!
So whether you have a wire reel laying around, stainless steel one or even a tire, they can all be recycled through Proline Metals Inc.
